SAVINGS ACCOUNT:   Everyone needs an everyday basic savings account for those minor emergency expenses that are always cropping up. There is no better place for a great savings account than ING Direct. This is the absolute best federal savings bank in the United States. They are consistently among the highest rates paid, with no minimum deposit amounts, no fees and a simple account activation that takes less than 5 minutes. You can open an account online and fund it now or later. Your money is federally insured by the FDIC and the account can be linked to your regular checking account anywhere for easy transfer of funds to and from your savings account. I could find no better basic savings account anywhere, and I've checked out hundreds of different accounts at different places. This is the one I recommend.

BEST PAID SURVEYS

If you are interested in earning a few extra dollars a month, one of the best ways is to take surveys online. Several different companies run survey services. I have looked at many of them and have found the following ones to pay the most and give you the best chance of earning a few extra bucks. It does not cost anything to sign up with any of these services. They will send you an occasional email asking your opinions on certain products, services and events. I recommend that you take about 30 minutes total time and register with each of these survey sites. You really can earn as much as $100 or more each month by taking surveys online. It's free and easy to sign up with each of the services I've listed below.

BEST INSURANCE SERVICE

Here we have two very special services that I think do the best job in the industry. The first one is for those of you wanting term life insurance. Term life insurance is much cheaper than other types of life insurance because there is no build up of cash value. I have always told people to buy ten year term life insurance for their life insurance needs. What I have suggested is to total up your entire debt for autos, homes, credit cards, etc. Then buy one term life insurance plicy that will pay off the debt in the event of the bread-winner's death. Then get rid of that expensive "credit life" insurance that you might have with each debt. This can save you hundreds of dollars a year.

The term life insurance company that I use is ETerm. They can get you a fast and free quote online and your policy can be in force very quickly. They have the best prices I can find and their service is excellent. If you want fast, no-hassle term life insurance, ETerm is the place to go.

For all other types of insurance I recommend you get free quotes from InsureMe . They can give you quotes from several different insurance companies in your area for such things as autos, homes, health, boats, ect. I have relied upon them for some time now and they always are fast and dependable. When trying to save money on insurance, it is best to shop around with several different companies. And by the way, try to pay your premiums annually. This can save you a lot of money over monthly payments. So save up enough in your ING Direct savings account each year to make annual insurance payments. You will not only get interest on your savings, but you will save significantly on the price of insurance. This combined with having enough in your savings to pay your deductibles can keep your insurance costs at a bare minimum. Especially if you get the highest deductible you can, or at least the highest you are comfortable with. Paying annually and high deductibles has saved me over $1000 a year in insurance costs. Not too bad.
